ABOUT US

Overflow Cafe began in 2021 as a church-based community cafe and our team realized quickly that there was a need for food to be delivered to those who need a helping hand.

In 2022, we served thousands of hot meals to our neighbors and expanded to include a blessing shed that holds hygiene products, dental care products, feminine health products, nonperishable food items, and cold weather gear. We also partnered with school social workers to provide food and holiday treats to five Richlands-area families over the winter break from school.

Two years later, Overflow Cafe is a 501(c)3 nonprofit (EIN:  92-1643 824) focused on maintaining The Blessing Shed, and ensuring families have food when school is closed for winter and summer breaks. By mid-October, more than 4,000 people had visited the Blessing Shed in 2024. We also provided spring break food to 54 students and summer break food to 33 local students. This year's goal is to assist 20 students over winter break.
